I like how the hammers (at the end) were on a wheel so they struck in a row. That is a very smart idea, but the bowling ball was too noisy.overall I quite like it.=)
( For the second video) I like how they used some different items like the toilet paper. I think that they should not repeat the same things 2 or 3 tines. This video is better than the first one( the one on the top of the page).=)
In the first video i did like the bowling ball simply because it was a challenge and im pretty sure not many people would uses a bowling ball in this way
In the second i like the fact they were being extremely smart. For example when there was that cup part they made additional force by putting a couple of dominoes before each cup.
I liked how at the end the hammers spun around on the wheel and knocked the nail in the wood. I wasn't too sure ion the bowling ball at the start because it could have ruined the contraption if they miscalculated the drop height. I also really liked the part where the bowling pin fell which caused the can to fall and make the ball roll down the track.
I like how in the second video when the cups moved to hit each other. Which made them have potential and kinetic energy on there side so there is more of a force to use.
I like how the first video used popsicle sticks for the design I believe their use of kinetic energy and the design of it was cool. However I think that the stick can break at any time and it's so easy to fail.
I like how at the start of the first video when they use the rubber duck to start up the car and then the car pulls the trigger and releases the bowling ball and the whole thing starts. And the whole design is cool! :)
(second video) I think they have used the dominoes ,marbles and ping pong balls well and also have used other household equipment so you could easily try to do something just as good
I also agree with you Alice, because in some of these video's it would of costed a lot fund. Not to mention that it would be hard to find space for it as well
I agree that they use a lot of household equipment that you might have at home and it went all around the house which makes it look good as well as going on different heights so its not just one boring hight the whole time
I think that the second video was the best as it was longer, more complex and used more household objects. It used ping pong balls, lollipop sticks, cups and dominoes. My favourite part was when the pulleys released the succession of ping pong balls.
In the first video I liked how they use all the different materials. And I like at the end how the three hammers hit the block of wood to bang in the nail.
I like the way they used different materials in unique ways such as when they used the big tubes to hold the weight of the bowling ball. Also in the second video I like the way objects would be used 2 times or more.
In The Doodle Chaos one I liked how they kept showing their name in cool ways, for example: a ball knocked into the sign which caused it to flip over and reveal "Doodle Chaos". I also liked how they used the table tennis balls to pull out the string, triggering another ball to roll out. In some parts it repeated itself which was boring but overall it had great visual effect
I like the second one better because it had heaps of great ideas for the rube Goldberg instead of just doing the same thing the whole it did that a little like Kate said but altogether I like it better then the ducks one. My favorite part was the cups because it would of been hard to make sure they went to the right place and it looked amazing.
First Video: I like how it's really creative and works really well, it's really cool how to hammer the nail they had the hammers on a wheel. The bowling ball was quite risky though, but at least it worked!
Second Video: I liked how they used dominos and balls as the main parts of the contraption and how on some parts they would have written on something “Doodle mania”But I don’t get why they had two playing cards at one point because I couldn’t see where it came from also if one of the dominos fell over at the wrong time it would have mucked it up majorly but since it worked it made the contraption work really well.

ReplyDeleteThe hammer idea is very nice and unique ,I agree too Jack.

I liked the second one better too.
DeleteIn the first video i did like the bowling ball simply because it was a challenge and im pretty sure not many people would uses a bowling ball in this way
ReplyDeleteI agree because most people would use smaller balls, (some don't have bowling balls)it is really creative and a harder challenge nice thinking Nick.
DeleteIn the second i like the fact they were being extremely smart. For example when there was that cup part they made additional force by putting a couple of dominoes before each cup.
ReplyDeleteYeah I also enjoyed the simplicity but it was still very effective

ReplyDeleteThis a very smart idea Mr Milne, and you have discussed the physics behind it. I also like this part and agree with you.

ReplyDeleteI like how when the tennis ball rolled down the ramp they were smart to put it up high to have gravity on their side.
ReplyDeleteI like that part two. It was a good idea to use gravity but they didn't use any gravity at that part.

ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful class!! Excellent critical thinking.
ReplyDeleteI strongly agree Mr Eames
DeleteI like how in the second video when the cups moved to hit each other. Which made them have potential and kinetic energy on there side so there is more of a force to use.
ReplyDeleteI also liked when the cups rolled into each other. I thought it was a very good idea. But it could have gone slightly faster. ;)
Deletefrom Sarah using Mr Eames's laptop!;D
Yeah I liked that part the best but agree with Sarah that it should of gone a little bit faster but it was a great idea

ReplyDeleteI agree with you Matthew, I also like the use of popsicle sticks. Excellent comment Matthew

Delete(First video) it is really good and I like the ice block sticks fly (awesome) also the design is really cool and creative.
ReplyDelete(Second video) I really like how they used the phone to start it of which was really funny plus smart :0

ReplyDeleteSame I think it was very thought out
DeleteI agree but the 1st video was still pretty decent because there is not many videos which uses a bowling ball like what it did in that video.
DeleteI think that the second could of been shorter because it just went on and on and on...
DeleteI especially like the use of beads and how they re-use the dominoes and table tennis balls.

I like how the first video uses lots of different things but keeps in theme which is ducks.
ReplyDeleteI agree I really like the theme in that video which was ducks. It was very clever and cool.
DeleteMe to I also agree with the duck idea! especially since there were so many!
DeleteFrom Sarah using Mr Eames's laptop!
I agree Emma I like the ducks theme to and how they use all the different stuff to make it look cool nice comment Emma.

ReplyDeleteI agree Cam I like the way they used three hammers to hammer the nails in nice comment Cam
Deleteannika: I like how they used the phone to start off the track...
ReplyDeleteSame, it was unique and creative because in most video's someone manually started it
DeleteI really Like the use of nails and cups in both video's its really clever I wouldn't of even thought to use it if I was making one.
ReplyDeleteI like the way they used many things twice like the tape in the second video.
ReplyDeleteIn The Doodle Chaos one I liked how they kept showing their name in cool ways, for example: a ball knocked into the sign which caused it to flip over and reveal "Doodle Chaos".
